Three new luxury hotels are due to open in the Alps in December 2026, ahead of the winter season.

The openings

- The First Cortina, Cortina d'Ampezzo: 76 rooms and suites, operated by Pavilions Hotels and Resorts, opening on 4 December according to the operator's announcement of 2 September. - Saint Roch, Courchevel 1850: 37 keys on the Bellecôte piste, by Maisons Pariente, opening on 18 December. - Bourbon Hotel, Courchevel 1850: 31 rooms, opening on 18 December. Its operator is to be confirmed.

Saint Roch

Saint Roch is the fifth Maisons Pariente address in France and the group's second in the Alps, after Le Coucou in Méribel. The family group also runs Lou Pinet in Saint-Tropez, Crillon le Brave in Provence and Le Grand Mazarin in Paris.

The interiors are by the studio Friedmann & Versace, founded by Virginie Friedmann and Delphine Versace, drawing on the imagery of the Russian dacha. The restaurant is run by Prunier, the Parisian caviar house, with an all-day menu of French caviar, seafood and classic French dishes.

The signal

The newest luxury beds in the Alps are small, between 31 and 76 rooms. Family groups and independents, not only the large brands, are betting on short, high-yield winter seasons, with dining as a key part of the offer.

Dates for The First Cortina and the Bourbon Hotel come from secondary sources and remain to be confirmed with the operators.
