Rosewood Hotel Group and the Thai developer SC Asset announced on 28 October the launch of Rosewood Residences Bangkok. It is the first residential development for the Rosewood brand in Southeast Asia.
85 homes above Lumphini Park
The project sits on Rama 4 Road and overlooks Lumphini Park, the large green space at the heart of the city. It will count 85 private residences across 37 floors.
SC Asset is developing the building with Tokyo Tatemono Thailand, the Thai subsidiary of the Japanese real estate group Tokyo Tatemono. Owners will be served by a dedicated Rosewood residential team and will have access to experiences across Rosewood's hotels and resorts around the world, as members of the brand's global residential community.
Sonia Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Rosewood Hotel Group, presented the project as an address "intended to be valued for generations to come". For Nuttaphong Kunakornwong, Chief Executive Officer of SC Asset, the building is meant to last for generations as well.
The architects, interior designers, prices, unit sizes and completion date have not been disclosed.
A large market
According to the Asia Branded Residences Market Review 2026 by C9 Hotelworks, quoted in the announcement, branded residences in Thailand are worth 205.3 billion baht, about US$6.4 billion.
The signal
For luxury hotel brands, residences have become a business of their own, with a long relationship with owners rather than a few nights with guests. With Bangkok, Rosewood brings that model to Southeast Asia for the first time. Congratulations to the Rosewood and SC Asset teams on the launch.
