Barrière is taking over a property first built as an Ultima flagship in Gstaad. Ultima Capital keeps the real estate; Barrière runs the hotel under Fouquet's, its ultra-luxury brand.

The offer is built for long Alpine stays: 11 suites, 6 apartments, a nine-bedroom private chalet of 1,500 m² and a spa of more than 800 m² with a 15-metre indoor pool.

Dining opens with a Zuma pop-up, serving contemporary Japanese cuisine on a heated terrace.

The signal

in the Alps, an owner no longer needs to sell to change its brand. A partnership lets it keep the assets while a recognised operator brings distribution, loyalty and a name guests already know from the Champs-Élysées. For French brands, it is a fast route into Swiss winter demand.

Congratulations to the Barrière and Ultima teams on this new chapter.
